Simple Search????

I do not know why I am having such difficulty with this. I am trying to build a pretty simple search widget that takes a 1 line address input by the user and finds the parcel using the address field on the Parcels layer. Nothing fancy like the find address widget since there are no repeating street names in the county. I think I am getting lost a bit today with the lack of a simple example or explaination of how the code works in the existing widget.

Can anyone suggest some resources or examples that can get me going on what you would think would be an easy task.

I think I am begining to move closer to what I need, but I am still not quite finding what I am looking for.

The service I am using has a Supported Operation of FIND, which works to locate the data on the field I am searching for. However I am not finding any example or even hints of how to use that Operation to return the data I am looking for.
