Shape file content display in a map

I am new to ArcGIS development. I am trying to display the content of a shape file over a map using ArcGIS API for flex.

Hi,

I tried the widget mentioned but when I import a shape file I am getting the message "Map data not yet available". What could be the possible reason for this message?

hmm...not sure as I haven't used this widget myself. if you attach the shapefile, maybe I can give it a try.
