queryFeature fails in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) on second call

Using the ESRI Flex 2.0 API, queryFeature on a feature layer works on the first run in the application but not the second time in IE8.  The same query works the first, second, third... (i.e. every time) time run in Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

Any ideas on a fix?
