Paged results (Identify)

So, using an identifyTask what would you recommend (if possible) for paged results?

I can see the queryTask has executeForIds which could get you somewhere, but nothing on identify. Also executeForIds looks to be for Server 10 only, which we are not running yet.

If there is a way on version 10, that would also be good to know!
