Every time I click the edit tool bar nothing is highlighted and when I click begin edit I get an error window telling me "Start editing encountered one or more layers with errors or warnings and cannot continue". Some of the errors say this,
layer shares data source with a layer in a basemap layer
cannot edit layer contained in a basemap layer, special reference does not match data frame.
How can I fix this? I am working of the the Conterminous United States template
