I am trying to find out how easy it is to migrate from 2.0beta to 2.1? My basic concerns are (1) I have found the download for the 2.1 and am wondering if there are the same compiled and non-compiled downloads as the beta version? I used the non-compiled version for beta (I edited and configured the xml and mxml files myself). (2) I am basically trying to take the project that I started with beta and transfer it to the new 2.1 version and finish the project in 2.1. Is this do-able and if so, what are the steps that I need to take in order to transfer my project from beta to 2.1 and will I need to change any config files, etc.? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thank you Robert. So it seems like on the new 2.1 that the compiled version is much like the uncompiled version from beta, in other words, you can edit the xml files as needed to deploy map services from arcgis server. I can not remember if you could do this on the compiled version from beta. I read what the two download packages are target for and I am having trouble deciding which one best suits my needs. I would like to add multiple service layers from arcgis server that I have created. The msd's that I created the services from are set up how I would like them displayed in the viewer so does mean that I would only need the compiled version? I would like to be able to set up widgets for searching addresses and other things coherent with my project, and I would like to be able to delete widgets I do not need and customize the locations of the widgets and look of the overall viewer and UI to look more customized. I do not have hardly any developing skills in computer code, however, I was working with the non-compiled version of 2.0beta in order to customize the viewer how I wanted it. Do you have any input as to more details of the differences in what I can do with the two different download packages?

Josh,

If you have access to Flash Builder that there is no question that you should begin with the uncompiled as many developer like my self will give to instructions about changing mxml code that can only be done with the uncompiled version.
