Layers display problem

I am using Arcgis Server 10 to publish my services, SQL Server 2008 for my Geodatabase and Flex API version 3.0 to create my flex application. I have published a map that contains two layers and I load these layers from my Flex application. The problem is that when I start the application for the first time, one of the two layers doesn't show up or sometimes both don't. When I close the application and restart it, the two layers show up. So I am wondering how I could fix this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much for your help. The solution was to go to the configuration of IIS server and set the Time-out value of ArcGISServicesAppPool application pool to Zero and I used this link http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/18470-Sleeping-Map-service-issue-with-ArcGIS-10.
