is there a method to check if a MapService is tiled or dynamic?

Hi everybody,

given the url of a mapService, is there a method to check if it is a tiled or dynamic service ? in order to use either ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer or ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer.
