I have searched everywhere on my machine for the MapManager.mxml file and cannot find it.

Can someone indicate where I might find this file? OR Why it might not be present?

Did you check the <Project Folder>\src\com\esri\viewer\managers directory? Thats where it should be, if its not there download another copy of the sample flex viewer.

This folder location does not exist in the Viewer for Flex 2.0 However, it IS available in SFV 1.3

Is the MapManager.mxml from SFV 1.3 somehow used to configure Viewer for Flex 2.0 applications?

NOTE: I have successfully built several web apps using the Viewer for Flex 2.0 already

Todd,

I believe this is a terminology issue. When you say you have built several FlexViewer2.0 sites already do you mean that you have added the FlexViewer 2.0 Source code to FlashBuilder as a project or just changed the xml configuration files to suit your needs? If you have only been configuring the xml files then you likely have not down loaded the FlexViewer 2.0 source code which would contain the MapManager.mxml.

Thanks for the clarification Robert.

I do not have FlashBuilder installed. I have only been configuring the xml files.

The reason I ask this question is because many of the posts to this forum recommend making modifications to the MapManager.xml file.

It seems as though I will need to work with the Flex Viewer 2.0 in a FlashBuilder project in order to implement the functionality described in those posts.

Todd,

Not a problem. You need to make sure you pay close attention to whether someone ways XML with you can do without the source code and MXML with you will need the source code for.
