After much frustration I finally was able to solve this, but I would like to suggest that ESRI add this property to the QueryTask object as well. Basically I have a layer that I am performing a query on and almost every time I changed the query and refreshed the map in Internet Explorer it would show the previous results or even older results! You can get around it setting Check for newer version of stored pages "Every time I visit the webpage" but asking clients to do this is kind of a pain. The other way of course is actually appending a timestamp to the URL i.e. (queryTaskInstance.where = url +"/0" + "?_ts=" + new Date().time ) which is what the disableClientCaching does.
