3D symbol has a black background

Hello,

I am using 3d push pin symbols for a feature class layer in my Flexviewer map.  However, the symbol appears with a black background around it when I add the service to my flex map.  It looks fine in ArcMap but not in Flexviewer.  Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this problem?

is it a tiled or dynamic layer?  maybe you tiled it as a jpg?  i used the 3d symbology before and didnt have that issue

The layer is feature service.  When I set it to dynamic the symbol draws fine.  This only occurs for 3d symbols...
