How to combine mobile 3D scans with ArcGIS

With the evolution of smartphones, the field of 3D scanning transformed and mobile scans are now at our fingertips. Of course, phones will not replace professional 3D scanners. Their simplicity, however, makes them a powerful alternative when scanning easily accessible and up-to-room-size objects. GPS technology has followed a similar path from expensive devices made for professionals to standard features on smartphones. Today it is possible to use both technologies together, creating georeferenced 3D models in minutes. Telecom Insights

Leveraging Land and Location Intelligence in Telecommunications

Jack Dangermond, President and Founder of Esri, highlights a fundamental challenge: "A lack of understanding, as well as the failure to collaborate, is a fundamental problem that we’re facing."

Building on this insight, our webinar - hosted by Jim Hodges and the amazing team at Light Reading - explores how integrating land intelligence capabilities within a Digital Twin, using Esri’s ArcGIS, can revolutionize the telecommunications industry and transform decision-making processes and operational efficiencies.

Key topics covered:

- Understanding Land Intelligence Systems: Discover the transformative power of land intelligence in GIS, which overlays various datasets to address industry-specific challenges.

- Comprehensive Data Utilization: Explore the critical datasets used in ArcGIS for land intelligence, including parcel data, geology and soil data, topography, land cover, and demographic and socioeconomic data.

- Integrating OSS and BSS with ArcGIS: Learn how successful organizations unify their Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) with ArcGIS to create a single source of truth.

- Empowering Teams Across Departments: Understand how a land intelligence GIS supports optimal site selection, network design optimization, environmental risk assessment, and efficient incident management.

- Strategic Operations and Disaster Preparedness: Gain insights into how GIS aids in comprehensive asset management, market analysis, strategic expansion, and disaster preparedness and recovery. Learn how telecom providers can ensure rapid restoration of services and minimize the impact on customers and infrastructure.
