setting extrusion and base height with ModelBuilder or Python

Hi,

Is there a way to set extrusion or base height with ModelBuilder or Python?  I was trying to use "Apply Symbology from Layer" but according to the documentation, it does not support 3D symbology.

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!
