Observer Points to 3D Building Viewshed Analysis using 3D Analyst Toolbox
Hi,
I am trying to create a viewshed analysis from multiple cell tower locations to 3D buildings. In other words I need to be able to quantify how many sq. feet of each of building face has a direct view to a tower, and how many sq. feet do not. The 'Exploratory Viewshed Analysis' is exactly what I am looking for visually, with the green in the screenshot representing parts of the building reached by a tower, and red parts of the building not reached. But I am having trouble replicating this with the geoprocessing tools so I can calculate the surface area covered.
I've tried converting the 3D buildings into raster and using the Viewshed tool but I keep getting stuck. Any workflow guidance here is greatly appreciated!!
