Interpolate line from existing line feature?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make an elevation profile from an existing line feature. Trying to overlap the line using the interpolate line tool is time consuming and not as accurate. Any ideas?

As long as your existing line feature is 3d enabled, just make a selection on which line you want to profile.  If you have 2d lines, convert them to 3d using Interpolate Shape.  See Fundamentals of creating profile graphs for additional details.
