Extruded points to lines

Hello.  I have a point feature class which represents trees.  There is a starting base height and the height of the tree.  The points are extruded into lines in ArcScene and I would like to find the intersection of these lines with a sloping plane.  Does anyone know of a way to export these extruded lines into a feature class or shape file?

You could convert the extruded points to a multipatch and then use the Intersect 3d tool to see where they intersect.  That might be the best technique. If they were true lines, then you could use the Intersect 3d Line to Multipatch.

Thank you very much Jeff.  There were little nuances that prevented me from converting to feature and to multipatch.  What eventually worked was the Layer 3D to Feature Class tool.  I tried feature class, shape file layer file and it wouldn't work for me.  What finally worked was doing the process on my C drive.  This gave me the 3 D lines to do the intersection.  Appreciate your very quick response!
