bringing Google SketchUp model to ArcScene

Hello,
I have created a 3D model of my department in Google SketchUp 8 Pro and tried to bring it in ArcScene 10. I converted the .skp file to .dae (collada) file using SketchUp and then used 3D Analyst tool to "Import 3D file" as multipatch feature class. Everything was fine till now but when I tried to bring a dem into ArcScene and calculated vertical exaggeration I lost the 3D geometry of my model and it got converted to 2D model i.e. the height of the building became zero. Kindly help me to resolve this issue. How can I bring a dem and a multipatch feature class without any loss of geometry. Help would be highly appreciated.

I am almost certain that the imported sketchup model will not support exaggeration. (Unless perhaps you used simple models for 3D symbols)  You might have to exaggerate the DEM itsef; multiply the data by the exaggeration factor then visualize in ArcScene without setting the vertical exxageration.  In SketchUp you might have to re-created the model and multiply all height measurements by the same exaggeration factor.
