I imported 3D DAE file to ArcScene/Globe by using the tool of Import 3D Files in 3D Analyst Toolbox. The projection works fine and 3D buildings can align well with other 2D shapefile. But the colors change to one solid color. See the screenshot in ArcScene. The original 3D buildings have eight different colors to represent different building types, as offices in red, residential houses in yellow. The DAE file is exported from the 3D software called CityEngine. The same DAE file can display colors well in Google Earth. See the screenshot in Google Earth. I wonder if it is possible for ArcScene/Globe to display multiple colors as they used to be. Thanks, Helen
In your screenshot I can see you are outputting to .shp file. Shapefiles provided no support for textures on multipatches. Please try setting the output type to a geodatabase.
