3D Analyst vs Spatial Analyst

We use Spatial Analyst to perform slope analysis.  We will probably be updating to 10 this year, and I'm thinking of switching to 3D Analyst instead of Spatial Analyst.  My question, can we still determine slope using 3D Analyst?

Yes, you could still determine slope using 3D Analyst. 3D Analyst has a slope tool(3D Analyst Tools > Raster Surface> Slope).

3d Analyst ejcuta many functions of Spatial Analyst Extension, including calculate slopes.
