3D Analyst Tutorial in 10.2?

I installed Tutorial 10.2 and learned that there is no data for 3D...
Is this on purpose?
To tell you the truth 3D data doesn't seem to be the easiest to create.
Is there any hope that some day there will be data available to try what Guide books are telling us about?
