3D analyst licensing

I'm trying to do my GIS homework for class and I am unable to complete it because I can not turn on the 3D analyst because it says that I have no licensing. What can I do to fix this problem. I am on a school computer.

Why would they give you an assignment that needs 3D Analyst if they don't have a license? Are you sure that you don't need Spatial Analyst instead? Check for that extension.

Also, try the License Server Administrator, and check the Availability tab

Yes i'm sure. I already have the spatial analyst turned on. I have no available licenses. I think I'm the only one in my class having this problem.

Have you got 3D Analyst turned on in extensions?

Click 'Customise' then 'Extensions'

Is there a tick next to the 3D Analyst extension?
