Set Range parameter from other field

Is it possible to set the start of a range using the value of another field?

Ex.

start= number(${lay1_1}) end=60 step=1

My idea is that there will be multiple ranges, and each one will continue off the previous for a soil matrix table.

Great idea!  Right now, this does not appear to be possible in the XLSForm specification. Could I ask you to file an idea at https://ideas.arcgis.com so we can keep track of interest?
