When using survey123 is there any way to know when you are out in the field doing a survey what you have already surveyed in that location?
I don't want to duplicate what I survey.

I am not sure that this can be accomplished in Survey123. Would you want the survey to know if you are in the same location (based on an error factor of so many feet)? Or would you want the survey to know if the recorded data has the same value for a certain field?
In other words, how would you propose the survey know that it's a duplicate?

I don't know much about collector, how can I achieve this using collector?
Why not show the plants from the previous year in Collector? Maybe show the previous years plant in one layer and the actual year in another layer.
So at the moment the surveyor just needs to try and not survey the same thing twice if they can?
My surveyors are surveying occurrences of certain plants, which can change each year and are afraid to survey ones they may have surveyed the previous year.
Hi. Adrian is correct in that with the current version of Survey123 it is not possible to display in a map all surveys sent. This could lead into folks submitting information twice. At the moment, all sent surveys are shown in the Sent folder and users can look at surveys in this folder using a List view.
We are however, working towards adding a Map view to the Sent folder. In fact, we want to add map views into all folders (Drafts, Outbox, Sent...). This would allow field users to quickly see all information sent, in the works etc. Surveys in the map view will be labeled using the Instance Name so they can be easily identified. The Instance Name is also used to uniquely identify surveys in the List view.
Above I included a video recording showing how things work using an early copy of Survey123 for ArcGIS v 2.0. We will make 2.0 available in Beta in next few days so you can give this a try and provide feedback. We will announce the Beta through this GeoNet Group. Stay tuned!
