Losing Data When Answering Phone Call

Question

We are using Survey123 on a smartphone. Sometimes we are nearly finished adding all the data to the survey and a phone call comes in on the smartphone. If the call is answered when we go back to the survey it refreshes and the data that was input, but not yet saved is lost.

Anyone any solution to this other than not using smartphones for surveys?

Hi John,

What devices are you using?  When Survey123 is sent to the background, it should be retaining the answers of the current survey- it sounds like it isn't backgrounding properly.
