Survey123 Next Gen Logo colors, and CLASSIC titles

This is a slide I made for my students, and I'd love to have the Next Gen logos be more diffrent. Maybe inverted, or make the white icon dark green with a white score around it.

Symbology is so important to us, and these are so close; you really have to know what you are looking at.

Next, I'd love for you to change the Classic names in the app stores so they say "CLASSIC".

Thanks for the great feedback and the slide look great.

As our migration to the next generation of Survey123 continues, we'll looking at ways to better differentiate the existing 3.x products from the new Survey123 Studio and Survey123 Mobile apps.

At this point, calling the 3.x products "Classic" doesn't seem appropriate. As you pointed out, they're mature, stable, production-ready applications that will continue to serve many users well. Down the road, we'll evaluate whether additional branding or naming distinctions make sense.

And yes, the icons are very similar at first glance. The idea of inverting the colors is intriguing 🤔 —it would certainly make them easier to distinguish.

The idea of inverted colors also intrigued me, so I figured I'd see what a 5-minute inversion job might look like. My graphic design skills were only ever hobbyist, and they're severely rusty, but it works okay as a conceptual mockup, I think.

The inverted colors certainly would be distinctive, but they don't quite feel like the rest of the ArcGIS family, to me. But this is why I'm not a graphic designer for a living. I'd love to see what ESRI's icon designers (who actually know what they're doing) could work up!

Below are two copies of the same icon. One is on the just the white background, which blends into the forum software's background. The other just has a dark grey border to outline the white box so it stands out.

Whatever ESRI's designers go with, I do agree with Michelle that there should be more differentiation between the icons for different generations like this, to cut down on confusion.
