Survey123 Not Publishing When Adding New Questions

Question

Every time I try to add a new field to my form in Survey 123 Connect and try to publish it it just continues to load forever until I finally give up. I have started my form over a few times and the most recent time I just changed one letter in the name and it still won't publish.

Please help.

Before deleting anything, did you by chance ever move your survey from one Portal/AGOL folder to another? This can be done kind of accidentally if you reassigned ownership of the survey. If it's in a different folder, you wont be able to overwrite it, but you wont get an error either, just a bunch of spinning.

If this is the case, what I do is move the survey back into the folder that gets created when you first publish it, then re-publish, then move it back to wherever it needs to be in Portal/AGOL to make it do the things it needs to.

Before you can re-publish your form, first, try and delete the previous Survey Folder along with its Feature Layers in your ArcGIS Online Content. (Permanently Delete it from Recycle Bin as well)
