survey123 retrieves barcode data from the API

Hello, I have a problem with the field I created, I want to display a barcode from another party's application but the barcode output is a number where the number is from another application's data type, the type is string. How can I define the code to be what I need in the field I created. Is there something wrong with the API that I put in the calculation field that I created or maybe there is something wrong?

Barcode question type is just a text question with a scanner option. That scanner reads a bar code and then dumps that value into the text field.

In essence, that number you get from scanning a bar code is the bar code.

There isn't a question type in S123 that "builds" bar code images dynamically, which is what it sounds like you are looking for?
