Here are my tips on collecting buttons - specifically the ESRI buttons. There are three different categories of ESRI buttons - UC year, Industry, and specialty. Industry buttons are the easiest to get while specialty buttons are extremely hard to acquire. UC year buttons - Explore the expo space throughout the day - These buttons are in buckets around the expo space. Buttons are dropped at different times and at least once in the morning and afternoon. There are 8 unique buttons each year Industry buttons - Located at the ESRI booth of that industry. From coding languages to ESRI support, there is a button for each. These generally don't change year to year. Specialty buttons - These are given out a specific events or people. Go out and explore for these. Post your tips & tricks below! My three year collection

My most favorite memory is the very first YPN in 2015, I was able to ask Jack a question and ESRI got a picture of it. This is when my button obsession began! I still keep in contact with many of the GIS pros whom I met that year.

Nic, Thank you for the fast response. Since a parameter of the roofHip is the angle, that is known. I think you mean the tangent (angle) * buildingWidth / 2. Cosine would give the run of the slope. If I was doing a gable roof, that should work but hip roofs are far more challenging. In the graphic I attached with my question, MAXheight = 30.2 ft. Exporting and measuring it in scene, it looks like the building is 44.49 ft tall. TAN (30.26 deg) * 57.4 ft/2 = 16.74 ft or an over estimation of 2.5 ft. Good idea, just not close enough.

I have building footprints with max height attached. I need to know the height of roofHip so I can store it as a variable and subtract it from the max height to run the extrude function. I need to know either the height of the roof model or how to recursively reduce the extrusion to match the max height attribute. I have looked at scope and geometry functions and neither are helping to solve the problem. This problem is close to matching buildings with the same top of roof height that is done by volumes. In short: How does one figure out the height of the building's roof? Thanks for the help, -Greg J.

Hello all, After searching the forums and help pages, I have been unable to locate a good answer for this: I want everyone in our office to view a webmap that is NOT shared publicly. How would I implement this? Or would a JS API client be better at this? Thanks in advance for your help.
