Dynamic Content - fields showing when nothing is selected

Hello.

I'm fairly new to ArcGIS Online and Experience Builder and I'm currently building the mobile interface for an existing EXPBLD app. I was trying to modernise the current layout with dynamic content, but I can't figure out why the fields {} show when nothing is selected on the map. HELP???

For context, I don't know in which version this app was initially configured - I know the AGOL where it currently resides is up to date (as far as I can tell).
