Check out What's New in Imagery in ArcGIS Online (Feb 2026) blog post. Imagery in ArcGIS Online provides a secure, fully managed SaaS environment for hosting, analyzing, and sharing imagery at scale. The February 2026 update builds on this foundation by reducing friction in hyperspectral workflows and accelerating raster…
Imagery can be hosted, visualized, analyzed, and shared in ArcGIS Online, helping organizations manage and share their imagery data without the need for infrastructure. Once your imagery data is organized, ArcGIS Online supports analysis workflows—including deep learning. This release introduces several enhancements to the…
The "Create hosted imagery" wizard is extremely slow even for a small raster dataset. Is there a similar tool like tile package we can generate then upload to AGO?
Hello All! Objective: We want to publish hundreds of CAD drawings in TIFF format with minimal overlapping to ArcGIS Online with a provision to toggle the visibility of individual images. Details We have few hundreds of CAD drawings grouped into individual projects showing the construction activities being taken up to lay…
The current imagery process is still not ideal to manage and update imagery with date. The only way to create an imagery service with date is through mosaic dataset in ArcGIS Pro. Even the mosaic was uploaded to AGO, there's no way to add new imagery or replace the old service.
The ability to update imagery layers while maintaining the same external URL/itemid is essential for encouraging the wider use of image services. Hosted image layers need to support an 'overwrite' option so that they can operate like other types of service. This is a deliberate generalisation of an existing idea, which was…
Hi There, I have a dataset of approximately 228 elevation images, it's about 2.7GB in size. I've looked at the various options and it seems a hosted tiled imagery layer would be fine for our requirements, the only issue is when I create this I can't see it when I add it to ArcPro. I can see it in the map viewer ok, and a…
Being able to overwrite a hosted imagery layer (multidimensional) would be a game changer for weather data. Have created a GRIB data set has a hosted imagery. Can animate on ArcGIS Online which is great. I would like to overwrite that dataset with the latest data as I would a feature layer. Then we can have real time…
I would like to suggest that ESRI find a better source for their imagery basemaps. Not only is the resolution very poor but the quality of the image is really awful in some places. Specifically, the squiggly-ness around bridges (which is my area of focus). Maybe a contract between ESRI and Google to let ESRI use their…
Hello everyone, I have a folder of raster files in TIFF format on my computer's disk. I want to use Python APIs to create a time series, upload it to ArcGIS Online (I have an Image license, of course), and publish the dataset as a public ImageService, specifically a tiled image service. Important detail: when I have a new…
