Thank you for the reply Anneka! - I did try the button that you indicated but the small text below said it was not available till 2.8 and later. Evidently this is not an option until a later version. I am still searching for a better work around. It is very frustrating to say the least but I have not given up yet. I have several different trials going on but no luck so far.

James Tedrick Is there a timeframe for this fix? We are in a pickle ... we had a form that has been working in both the app and the web form (published in 2.7 originally) and needed to modify it to add an item to a dropdown list to the select one lists for the current storm. There are photo attachments and repeats in this form. When we republished, the web form now provides the "Failed to submit" error and is useless to the majority of our field crews. They are limited to using the web form in the browser for the foreseeable future. Any suggestions welcome - Thank you!

Hello, I am working on a QML application that utilizes QtPositioning 5.3 to grab the location of the device to display and orient the map etc. This is working great on the iPhone and iPad. However, for the Windows all in one tablet (Motion) the GPS is set on a COM port. As a result, I can't see any GPS info in my QML app when I build for the Windows device. Now - I can see all the data I want using the Serial Port GPS C++ sample from the QTSample Application but am not doing well getting access to that same feed from within my QML application. Has anyone successfully utilized the C++ serial Port GPS sample from within a QML application? Suggestions for alternatives on how to listen to the COM port from QML are also welcome. If I can grab the NMEA string then I can handle it from there. Thanks! Amy

Based on this, I was able to call my rep and get this sorted out. I was able to download and install the ArcGIS Pro software via EDN without a problem but was missing the license. The missing piece of information for me was that EDN comes with it's own dedicated AGOL account with one named user that needs to be set up. It does not link to any other AGOL account that you might already have. So .. (1) So I called my rep with my customer number and my EDN number - (my rep wasn't available at that precise moment as they were helping someone else but Charlotte helped me out - so Thank you Charlotte!) (2) Received email from ESRI with a token to set up the EDN AGOL account as a NEW AGOL org account ... **** WARNING use a new login name and org name etc - you can reuse your email with mucking things up but the other stuff needs to be new. *** (3) I clicked the link in the email, configured my new EDN AGOL org, and now I could assign my EDN ArcGIS Pro license to myself (as the only user in the org). (4) Fired up ArcGIS Pro and logged in using my spiffy new EDN AGOL credentials and poof I was off and running Hope this helps clear up the fog for others that may be stumped at this point as well!

Hello - just an update but not a resolution yet. Spent some time online with ESRI technical support today. No resolution yet but they are checking into it further as the REST api has the option in the createreport function so the Flex API should be able to accept an array of values as well .... The link and the info towards the bottom of the page are shown below. http://http://help.arcgis.com/en/businessanalyst/apis/geoenrichment/index.html Like the Enrich method, the GeoEnrichment service has a single method to create reports for all types of study areas. You can use the studyAreas and studyAreasOptions parameters to produce reports for rings, drive-times service areas, custom polygons and standard geography features. The example below illustrates how you can create a 3, 5 and 7-minute service area buffer around a point and create a report GeoEnrichment Example: Create a 1-3-5-minute drive-time service area and create a report In the GeoEnrichment service, the study area type can be defined in the studyAreasOptions parameter: Request http://geoenrich.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/GeoEnrichmentserver/GeoEnrichment/CreateReport?studyAreas=[{"geometry":{"x":-117.1956,"y":34.0572}}]&studyAreasOptions={"areaType":"DriveTimeBuffer","bufferUnits":"esriDriveTimeUnitsMinutes","bufferRadii":[3,5,7]}&report=dandi&f=bin&token=...

Hello, I am attempting to request a report with a multiple ring buffer or drive time depending on user selection. If I submit the request with an array holding a single value, everything works perfectly. However if I submit an array of 3 numerical values (as I could with the BAO API), then I get " Error ID 110023. Required 'StudyAreas' parameter doesn't have valid elements." sometimes and sometimes I get the report but only with the first value. Example: geoStudyArea.options = new RingBuffer([3,5,7], RingBuffer.MILES); or if I put the each value in a numeric variable and then list the numeric variables in the array - it just takes the first value. So theoptions below get a report with a two mile radius Example:
var distance1:Number = 2
var distance2:Number = 4
var distance3:Number = 6
geoStudyArea.options = new RingBuffer([distance1, distance2, distance3], RingBuffer.MILES);
The help reference lists an array as the input, so it seems like this should be valid - any ideas or suggestions are welcome! https://developers.arcgis.com/flex/api-reference/com/esri/ags/tasks/geoEnrichmentClasses/RingBuffer.html https://developers.arcgis.com/flex/api-reference/com/esri/ags/tasks/geoEnrichmentClasses/DriveBuffer.html Thanks! Hello, I have a webmap set up in AGOL - I am using a developer's account. On the PC in the ArcGIS Online map viewer, all of my configured popups work great (#1 below). Some popups are just lists of attributes, others have media such as images with links to larger views or a PDF document. In the past, I pulled the JSON, published on the Mobile Content Server with ArcGIS Server, used the ArcGIS for ios app on the ipad and it all worked great. Not any more - At this point, it doesn't work even when I access the webmap via ArcGIS Online in the ArcGIS app for ios(#2 below) or via ArcGIS Online web site via Safari (#3 below). (Note - I retested it all this morning since the new update when live today - All the results are unchanged) 1) Access via ArcGIS Online map viewer on the PC- Web Map was reconstructed in ArcGIS Online using Developer account. The other popups are attribute lists. Everything behaves in the ArcGIS Online app on the desktop. This is how it used to behave in the ArcGIS App for ios and connecting via the mobile content server. On my iPAD - Running ios 7 and ArcGIS App for ios - version 10.1.2 build 716 2) accessing via ArcGIS App for ios on the iPad- the popups do not work - the little coordinate location window is all that comes up. 3) accessing via ArcGIS Online map viewer on iPAD via safari - popups do not function correctly - No matter where I click - I get the same information for that initial feature. Example: The first feature clicked was a main. Now anywhere I click, I get the information for that main no matter how close or far away from it I click. Is anyone else having similar problems? All suggestions welcome - thanks! Amy (Will cross post in ArcGIS App Forum as well) Amy Wright Webber Greenville, SC

I was just browsing the forums and realized that I had not posted back to this thread to verify that this was the solution so I thought I would correct that oversight. I was using the activeDataSet ID to get my report template list but was not specifically setting it with the parameters for the SimpleRingsTask - the second line of code below was the one I was missing. var params : SimpleRingsParameters = new SimpleRingsParameters(outputTypes);
params.activeDatasetID = _activeDataSet FYI - _activeDataSet is the variable that is selected by the user when they pick whether they want the 2000 group of reports or the 2010 report listing // determines the group of available report titles
[Bindable]
//private var _activeDataSet:String = "USA" or "USACensus2010";
private var _activeDataSet:String = "USACensus2010"; Thank you Mehak!

Hello Mehak, The reports are being generated for custom geographies (1 mile radius, 10 min drivetime etc) and the users are simply being given the choice on whether they want to use the 2010 available reports or some of the more specialized reports that are currently only available using the 2000 census and associated projections. I am using the names returned by the GetReportTemplatesTask so for the USACensus2010 dataset - I am setting the activeDatasetID to "USACensus2010" and then populating a dropdown box with the report names as returned by GetReportTemplatesTask. I am getting the following two report names for this dataset - Census 2010 Profile (2010 Geography) Demographic and Income Profile (2011 Data) When I submit the request for the report, I submit the name as shown below.
var option:ReportOptions = new ReportOptions();
// set the template name to the selected report template from user combobox
option.templateName = reportTemplate.name
Thanks! Amy Hi Amy, What report template are you trying to use? It is possible you are using a report template that is only available in the USA dataset. Also, keep in mind that the USA and USACensus2010 datasets are based on completely different USA geographies and it is highly recommended to not compare them against each other. Thanks, Mehak

Hello, Is anyone else encountering this problem? My SimpleRings task does not return a report when I run it against the new census2010 dataset but it does return a report when I run it against the original USA dataset. Any ideas or assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Amy Verisons: ArcGIS Flex API - 2.4 BA Online Flex API - 2.1 More Details: I have two radio buttons where the user selects whether they want to see the list of available reports available from Census 2000 (activeDatasetID set to USA) or from Census 2010 (activeDatasetID set to USACensus2010) The only difference in the code is the value stored in my _activeDataSet variable. When I use the USA dataset, the returned array has a report in it. When I use the USACensus2010 dataset, the returned array is null. The code calling the report is below:
//_baClient contains my BAO login information
var simpleRingsTask : SimpleRingsTask = new SimpleRingsTask(_baClient);
simpleRingsTask.execute(params, new mx.rpc.Responder(resultHandlerRings, faultHandler));
//
private function resultHandlerRings(event:BATaskCompletedEvent):void
{
var taskResultOutput : TaskResultOutput = event.result as TaskResultOutput;
//draw the features on the map
var fs : FeatureSet = taskResultOutput.recordSet;
if(fs)
{
// add the resulting features to map
for (var i:Number = 0; i < fs.features.length; i++)
{
var g : Graphic = fs.features;
// set tooltip from attributes
g.toolTip = fs.features.attributes["AREA_DESC2"];
g.autoMoveToTop = false;
_graphicsLayerRings.add(g);
}
zoomToExtent();
}
//get the report
// taskResultOutput is empty when 2010 dataset used and the following error is thrown -
// it all works great with the USA dataset
// TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
var reportInfo : ReportInfo = taskResultOutput.reports[0];
_reportUrl = reportInfo.url;
lblGuide.text = "Task complete. " +
"The summary report has been generated and is ready for download."
