I tried the merge tool in a geometric network while in ArcMap 10.2.1 and it works. It does leave the network junctions behind and the junctions still behave as normal. When I move one the line moves with it. If I disconnect it and move it, the junction moves and the line stays put but a new junction appears. I can delete the junction and that works with no new junction taking its place. Does anyone know if being able to use the merge tool in a geometric network is a new feature and if so should it be leaving the network junctions behind? I have many transmission lines that have many arcs per line and would like to merge them into one arc per transmission line. I intend to do so but I’m not sure if I should be deleting the junctions that are left behind.

When WMS feature is present in table of contents the WMS connection is broken when user is disconnected from the internet, which is expected. The features below it are not present and the bookmarks are not present. If WMS is at the bottom of TOC the bookmarks are still not present. When connected to the internet all is good. ArcMap 10.2.1 same for ArcReader. Any suggestions?

ArcReader 10.2.1 will crash while using the identify tool when "Identify from" is set to <Visible layers> then picking on a WMS layer. If I change the "Identify from" to a specific WMS layer it will till crash. When I do the same thing inside ArcMap all is fine and I can see the data, which isn't much yet the users of ArcReader will try and get a crash. Anyone else having this issue?

I have arcs that are connected with network junctions and would like to merge them into one arc. When I try the standard edit/merge tool the tool is grayed out. I can do this just fine with arcs that do not participate in the network so must be something with network rules I'm thinking. I'm also wondering if less network junctions and more vertices would affect performance such as draw times. The arcs I'm looking to merge are continuous series of arcs with no branches or junctions.

Eric, So you are saying that even though I have a world file, in my case it is a tif raster and a tfw world file both with the same names (32-91_001.TIF & 32-91_001.TFW) and I have the Tools\options\raster tab\Use world file to define the coordinates of the raster checked, that the image/raster will not be referenced correct in my map? I have never been able to get a tif file with a world file to reference in a map. I take that back, I did a while ago but I cannot remember what steps I took to get it done. I am currently on ArcMap 9.3.

Is there a way to save out Maplex settings? I'm not sure how it would work if the data is not exactly the same but anyway to save out the settings might help. I have tried using layers but I guess I do not know enough on how to use the layer with a different set of data.
