If this issue hasn't been solved, here's how I fixed mine when I encountered this same problem. Draw a rectangle on the line(s), like if you're selecting elements. You won't see any visible indication that it's selected but that??s okay. Mouse right click on the white portion of the screen and choose Delete. I hade the exact same issue, and pinay1975's solution solved it perfectly. Thank you!

Thank you, djarrard! That solved it. I figured it was the exact same code as for the other capabilities, but i was not able to find the name of the soe for Network Analysis. Ideally the documentation for CreateMapSDDraft could state all the different soe-tags so that it is possible to know where to start when attempting to enable a specific capability.

Hi, I need to create a Python script that automatically publishes services with network capabilities. To do this, I use the function arcpy.mapping.CreateMapSDDraft to create a draft from an MXD. The mxd contains network layers, and the service needs to be capable of network analysis, so I need to activate the Network Analysis capability before publishing the service. What I can't fathom is how to add network capabilities to the service. I see all the examples of how to add KmlServer and WMSServer and Feature Access and what not, but I can't understand which variables need to be set to what for the network capabilitiy, and I can't find any documentation for it. I also tried checking the differences between the XML code in sddraft files for two different ArcMap-created drafts (one with network, one without), but I was none the wiser. There was just too much code. Please help, if you can! Tobias

Hi I'm trying to create a definition query set, but I can't find the "Feature Display Settings" tool. In the resources page for "Defining a definition query set (Production Mapping)" it says that: On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Customize. The Customize dialog box appears. Click the Commands tab. In the Categories list, choose Production Cartography. In the Commands list, choose Feature Display Settings. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Defining_a_definition_query_set/0103000000s5000000/ But in the Categories list there is no "Production Cartography", so the "Feature Display Settings" tool is nowhere to be found. I've also tried searching commands for "feature", "display" and "settings", but nothing is there. And it is not in the regular tools-list. Any insights, please? Nothing in the "Categories" list: I'm running ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2, with all licenses and extensions. Regards, Tobias

Thanks guys! I'll go for the Query Builder-option until I have obtained better Z-data. The network services I'm publishing use only one floor at a time, but with the query builder i can publish all the servies while only referencing one network dataset, which is a lot more robust. Have a nice day! Tobias

Hi! I've got a 2.5D indoor network for an area without any proper Z data. Therefore, the network (covering several floors) uses ordinal elevation values from 0 to 9. The service is being used for simple routing problems from A to B. My problem is how the routing locations snap to the network. I can't seem to find out how to assign a point to a specific floor (ordinal elevation value) so it snaps to the correct portion of the network. Any tips or workarounds? Tobias
