Hello @IsmaelChivite Thanks for your answer! That calculation you suggested works, even after removing the center on URL. I am not sure what I was doing wrong before, but I tried it in the past without success. Yes the XY were hidden, this was just a dummy survey to test things. And thanks a lot for all your posts regarding Survey 123, I do use them a lot. And thanks @ZhifangWang as well.

Hello Wang Please have a look at the Excel attached. URL for the survey: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/51a6fb606fdb43dc91d6d276bf635c12?&field:Point_Y=35.04197377513369&field:Point_X=-85.30757848168113¢er=35.04197377513369,%20-85.30757848168113 I made an empty question to prevent people to submit it since it, is public. The URL is using the center method to use grab the XY. The Point Y and Point X fields are just for testing and troubleshooting. I tried changing from the center method to the "?field:geopoint1" way (named Repair_Point), but it does not work on my end. My goal is just to center on the "35.0419737 -85.307578" by any means necessary, without using the center approach. I tried using the documentation examples but it does not work for me.

Hello Wang Thanks for the answer. The null value works, it stopped asking for my location. But not it gives a blank value, not centering on the XY, but instead the map points at LA (which is the default value for blank geopoints?) I tried every combination I could think of on the URL. I will prepare the XLS and send it!

I use both ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS online to set up my layers for web maps. I noticed lately that if I overwrite a web layer on ArcGIS Pro, any map using it will fail to use that layer (and say it can't be found). So I have to go all the way on ArcGIS Online Assistant to fix the JSON of the web map with the right layer URL. For years, the overwrite web layer just replaced the layer, and also replaced the layer on the wem map seamlessly. Is this a deliberate change in the way that layers work now? If yes, is there any workournd? Or this should be an issue, or I maybe had a change in my workflow that I am not aware of? Thanks!

I already tried it yesterday. It does not fix the issue, and also adds the problem that if someone clicks on the map, it updates the point to their current location (even if the question is set to read only).

Hey Brandon I'm not sure if it is allowed to reply with topics that do not answer, but I am having the same issue. Url center is now unreliable. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. It is kind of frustrating because it's not a reliable error, I decided to troubleshoot it and suddenly everything works even if I have not changed anything. I read so much documentation regarding geopoints on Survey123, but no success so far. Instead of using the center function on URL, you can try to make a calculation on the geopoint row and calculation column of your excel file, which grabs the points X and Y, if you are adding the X and Y fields to the new feature. concat(substr(${Point_Y}, 0, 10), " ",substr(${Point_X}, 0,10)) No success on my side, but you might give a try.

For almost two years, we managed to create a map where the user clicks on a point, which opens a Survey123 form. The geopoint was set to read-only, and the URL had the center on XY coordinates (¢er={Point_Y},{Point_X}). It worked flawlessly. Until recently this system became unreliable. Not only new surveys do not work, but older ones are having the issues. They often try to get to the user's location. Or just center somewhere near Los Angeles. Or in Null Island. In different computers and web browsers. I figured out that the "¢er=" URL thing is not reliable anymore to add points on that location (despite always working that way). So I read a bit about the calculations for geopoints, but it still does not work. Even by typing a coordinate on the default collum, for the geopoint field on the .xlsx form, (such as "48.858328 2.294513") , I get the message on the survey with no point selected: - Can not find your location. Please check your browser to ensure that your location is shared On top of that, there point And if I allow the location, then it points to my house. I have then two questions: How can I ensure that the survey 123 will never attempt to overwrite the pre-defined values with the user location? Disabling the web browser permission is not a good option because many people use it, and its unrealistic to expect that everyone does it (and again, even when disabling, sometimes we get the error message). Even when writing a coordinate on the default value for the geopoint, the survey still does not ready it, sends me to LA. (and if I try to submit, it will go to 0,0). I tried using calculation too, but even if the simplest test does not work, I wonder what I am doing wrong. Thanks for your help!

I want to georeference a DWG file to make it a feature class. However, whenever I start adding controls points, the option becomes unavailable after I add 2 controls points. But, 3 is the minimum necessary to have acceptable accuracy. My reference is just the regular esri basemaps. This is what happens as soon I add a control point.

Hello. I made a simple map with existing points, which the field auditor would go and edit these points. It was also possible for him to add new points as well. After the work was finished, I found it funny because he never added a single point. Later I discovered that he indeed added a bunch, but they were not being synced. However, all the edits he made were synced to the map. The collection was made using an offline area. - The layer in question had "Add" enabled on editing - I tested it on my own phone. I can add a point on the map, I can sync without error, but the point never appears on the main layer. - There are no filters on the map I'm using to check the points. - Any edits to existing points are synced without issue. - We tested in collector as well, and it still does not work. - I already used the exact same methodology in other maps and never had this issue. - After sync, the points still appear on the fields map, but not on the web map (or arcgis pro) I'm worried to lose the data. Is there a way to extract the data from the phone, besides the sync function?

Gonna be kinda silly here, but I guess it will be enough to explain my point. I have the layer Houses with 2 fields: HouseType and Number. I also have another layer, called HouseRepair. It has 4 fields: HouseType, Number, RepairType, and RepairDate. Note that the first two fields are exactly the same. I want to be able to add points to the HouseRepair layer, which takes info from House layer. Of course, this is a piece of cake on ArcPRO, but I wonder how to do that in a web map or app. The only way I know is through a very cumbersome auto-populated 123Survey. It can work for this example (since there are only 2 fields to fill), but in reality, I'm working with +30. If anyone knows which tools are used for this task, please let me know! Thanks in advance.

I am having this issue lately, which the data collected offline on collector (not classic) is failing to sync. Sometimes I cant make the sync work, so I wonder if there is any way to extract the offline data, so all the info we input in the field is not lost.

Whenever I make a map on ArcGIS Online, I allow the search bar to search by items ID (or really any other attribute). It always worked perfectly on the webmap, and on my Collector app, which I use on Android. But recently the Field Workers were asking for a way to search by item ID. Which was funny, because the options was always there. Turns out that they use Collector for IOS (no, not the classic one). Whenever they type something on the search bar, it only shows addresses. I tested with some colleges which uses IOS as well, and none can search by attribute. Is this a know issue? Collector for IOS let the user search by attribute, if the map is reconfigured that way? Because from the experience my workplace, that is not the case.

It messed up a survey I did recently. Lets say I am mapping the town parking spots, and I have a field called Ownership. If the Ownership = Private, it should not show on the map (but I still want to have this data on the map). If I setup a filter to not show the Ownership is not 'Private', all the Private points will disappear, as well all points with blank Ownership. Is there a way to hide all Ownership = Private, while keeping the blank ones?

I create a lot of webmaps on AGOL daily. To share with our team, I use the short url function. But lately, this link always redirect to the home AGOL page. The funny part is that if I go to older maps, and generate new links, they also dont work. This is something I did hundred of times on the last year, and never had a issue. It happened something similar like this to anyone?

We use a dashboards with a lot of gadgets, which are very time consuming to make. We started using a JSON template and manipulating the code, and paste into a the Dashboard code on ArcGIS Online Assistant. Which is still time consuming. Recently I learned that I can edit the data of a item by using the code gis.content.get(item.id).update(item_properties="text": data) Which data us the .JSON file. It works perfectly for Web Maps, when I use the code to replace the JSON. But it always give me an error if I try to replace the Dashboard .JSON of an existing dashboard. In the same way, I can create web maps using the gis.content.add(item_properties="text": data) but when I create a dashboard, the error above appears. An easy answer would be "My .JSON is invalid/broken/has errors", but if I use the code above to replace to the exact same json code of the current dashboard, it still changes to a functional dashboard to a broken one. Maybe these codes are not suposed to be used on Dashboards. Then, how can I update the Dashboard Json using Python? Is there another way?
