Hi Paul, Splitting a feature does not result in the deletion of any features. As you mentioned, if the Split Policy is set to Default and the field does not use a default value for the domain, it will be set to <null> (assuming the field is nullable). Can you confirm if this layer uses a Definition Query that is excluding features if this particular field value is <null>? Another thing worth checking is if you’re using unique value rendering based on this field and ‘all other values’ is not symbolized. If so, then this would explain why the features appear to be missing. If not, then we definitely want to look into your issue further since features should not be deleted after they are split. Thanks, Phil

Hi Brian, Thanks for confirming. Yes, we changed the Attributes pane’s Auto Apply setting to be off by default at 2.3. This state requires that you click the Apply button to commit your attribute edits. As you mentioned, enabling Auto Apply will change this behavior so that each attribute edit is committed when the edit is performed. On a related note…. when Auto Apply is off, a new message box will appear that prompts you to apply your uncommitted attribute edits when you leave the Attributes pane and activate another tool or pane. However, I can confirm that this is not occurring when executing some commands or tools (such as Reconcile), so we will work on resolving this issue. Regards, Phil

Hi Maribeth, Yes, you can stream digitize using the 'Freehand' construction tool (located in the line and polygon feature tempate tool palettes). Regards, Phil Sanchez, Esri

Hi Sarah, ArcGIS Pro will create Enterprise Geodatabase connections when you import an MXD (that has Ent GDB connections) into a project. A few questions for you... are you able to connect to the Enterprise Geodatabase in Pro? If so, are the layer's features displayed in the map? And are they still flagged as non-editable? Thanks, Phil

Hi Tim, To access the Versioning tools in Pro, go to the Contents pane, click the 'List by Data Source' button to change the view (the one that looks like a database can), and then click a Geodatabase node to activate the Versioning contextual ribbon tab. This tab contains tools that allow you manage your version (change, refresh, reconcile, and post). In regards to the layers with the red exclamation marks, these are non-editable. You can view more details about layer editability in the Editing Status window. Click the Edit tab, go to the Manage Edits group, and click Status to open this window. We also have a help topic that describes some common messages regarding layer editability: http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/editing/basics/message-annotation-cannot-be-edited.htm Hope this info helps.
