Mike Until you mentioned Firebug I didn't know what it was. I do not use or have it installed. Great tip on reducing the number of vertices in my polygon files, by the way. I simplified my polygons in desktop and re-uploaded. I did this for most of my maps and it dropped the map sizes down by mb's. Thanks

Mike, Thanks for replying. I don't believe it is an issue with the number of features I'm trying to upload or host in my map nor the size but you are the expert so I'll keep that in mind. To me, it appears that regardless of map size it always occurs in Firefox when I attempt to save my map. I have to be in Chrome to save a map. Here is a map link, http://bit.ly/UKmHa1 . This map has about 200 points and about 275 polygons. I can save in Chrome with no script error but in Firefox I cannot save. Even if I delete the points and polygons I cannot save. Thanks for your help

FCD_MillerC I am not having the same error, so far as I understand it, but experience what appears to be a related issue. I also get a script error that references "dojo". I don't know what "dojo" is so I can't be of help but our posts may be related. http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/74221-Mozilla-Firefox-Script-Error

Hello Within the last month (if i recall correctly) a script error has been appearing for me despite being in Firefox. It says "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: resource:///components/nsPrompter.js:434 " I have attached a screenshot. I am unable to save within Arcgis.com map viewer or exit via "My content" and so on. This did not always happen. It use to be that Firefox ran everything smoothly. I am not getting this error in Chrome and I haven't even bothered checking in IE because it crashes before opening. I was able to get permission for coworkers to move to Firefox. For some reason Chrome is not allowed (?) at our workplace. In other words, we need this to work in Firefox. Thanks

This appears to be a bug... We'll have to take a look at this. Thanks, Mike Thanks Mike, While you are at it, I thought you may want to know that there seems to be a difference in the way this map displays in Firefox vs Chrome. I noticed that in Firefox the counties in the different maps DO match up consistently when clicked on, despite one not having any information in the pop-up. However, in Chrome, it appears to match up in each map in the viewer the first time you click on a county BUT when you move on to another county to see its information in a pop-up the pop-up in the window you did not click jumps back to a previous county. So, in Chrome, the counties selected in each of the maps do not match. And, if you have a second, I don't know how you guys work on bugs, so, is this something that gets fixed in a couple days, weeks, or a month? or is this a long term problem that I shouldn't expect to change anytime soon? I really like the compare templates. If they were to be fixed in a couple weeks or something I would stick with this effort to visualize this project on ArcGIS.com via the compare templates. Thanks for your help.

Hello I am attempting to compare choropleth maps of Texas counties. They cover the same geographic extent and often the same counties are featured between the maps. When I preview the viewer it shows the same map three times and when you click on a county in one map a pop-up window opens in all three windows. Each pop-up contains data. However, when I edit the viewer to publish two of my maps (the number of maps doesn't matter, what seems to matter is that they are different maps) I lose the pop-up functionality. If you click on a county, with color, in either map a pop-up opens for both maps BUT the pop-up in the map you didn't click contains NO information. What I expected to happen was for the pop-up in each map to show its own respective data. http://www.arcgis.com/apps/Compare/SideBySideViewer_Configure/index.html?appid=71ef118d74b24abaa596f6e331ee1952 any clue on what to do about this. I am trying to offer comparisons of waste management data in the same counties. Thanks
