I'm having the same problem. First time I've encountered this. There's a particular project file that gets stuck on Loading Locators every time I try to open it today. I just updated to Pro 3.2.2; I wonder if that has anything to do with it. My coworker on 3.2.1 can open it no problem, and I can open it with 2.9.1 on a different PC. And I can open other projects with 3.2.2 - just this one project mysteriously causing problems.

I forgot about masking. That is how to create "interwoven" layers, combined with symbol level drawing and/or duplicate layers for more advanced options.

If no one's jumping out to explain how layers can be interwoven, I'm guessing it's not possible. I definitely was using representations back in the day, along with PLTS. Perhaps that allowed for interweaving layers and/or features in some limited way. A lot of those fancier features are now available in Pro without extensions, but representations are a notable omission. Thanks for pointing out Pro's ability to display (if not edit) representations - I wasn't aware of that! Esri seems to think attribute-driven symbology is a good alternative for representations ("more flexible than representations"), but it doesn't support shape overrides or free representations. Bummer.

Is there a way to interweave layer drawing order? E.g., there are three layers, and I want layer 1 to draw on top of layer 2 but under layer 3. I want layer 2 to draw on top of layer 3. In the example below, the thick pink/peach line is a road, the magenta line is a "park zones" boundary, and the dashed black line is the city limits. I want the park zones to draw on top of the road, but under the city limits. I want roads on top of city limits. I swear I did something like this years ago in ArcMap, involving group layers and advanced symbol layer drawing. But I can't remember how I did it. What I'm trying to do now doesn't involve symbol layers, just separate feature layers, though I guess it could involve symbol layers if that's the trick to getting this to work. And/or maybe it involved duplicating layers? Am I misremembering what is possible? Does Pro handle this differently than ArcMap did? Thank you for any insight!

@jcarlson wrote: The popup itself should display a "X of N" indicator when your clicked location has multiple features. The content of a single popup is defined by the layer, not the map. The click finds three features with popups, and thus three popups, then returns them as "stacked". I know this is how pop-ups routinely work, but it's clunky. It would be much more elegant to construct a single pop-up that shows exactly what I want, be it from one layer or several. If that's only possible with custom JS, that is beyond my or most people's capabilities or time constraints. I guess this should be a feature request - something that's possible on any map, not just certain templates that are likely limiting in some other way. @jcarlson wrote: That said, you can usually get what you want if you're willing to dig into the JS API for it. Short of that, you may be able to make a widget in Experience Builder (or Web App Builder - Developer Edition) that can list multiple popups in a single frame. I will definitely explore what can be done with Experience Builder, thanks. I can't believe it's been 2 years since I posted this - perhaps there are more options now! (probably not with WebApp Builder! 😀)

I have this same general question regarding read-only public access and authorized editing access. As we are looking into a web-first paradigm for most users to edit or view data in our SDE database, it seems crazy that we'd have to set up 2 services (minimum!) for different permissions. Is it possible to (or does Esri have plans to ever) allow anonymous read-only access, while configuring editable access for the same service if logged in?

Update: As mentioned in the "share content" doc link above, the workaround for adding a Dashboard (or other unsupported collaboration apps) is by adding it to AGOL as a URL: Add an app from a URL. However, that still does not explain why Dashboards aren't supported by collaboration or whether they ever will be. Adding an app from a URL is inferior to properly sharing it as a collaborative item because it doesn't show up as a Dashboard in AGOL. You can't search for it by app type; it's just a generic app.

I have the exact same situation. I see here: Share content with collaboration groups—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation that Dashboards are not listed under supported item types. However, there's no explanation why not, or any insight whether there may be more support in the future.

I haven't seen any info about upgrading from Monitor 10.8.1 to 2023. Do you have to uninstall 10.8.1 first? Does installing 2023 automatically uninstall 10.8.1? Or can they run side-by-side on the same server? That would allow us some transition time. Thanks!

Standardizing the intro panel across all apps sounds great; do you have a timeline on this? Thanks!

I'm also having the same problem - the intro panel will not work with the interactive legend template. (It does work with other templates, though.) The intro panel will not pop up at start or when clicking the button in the upper-right corner. Doesn't matter what browser, what platform, incognito or normal. Has a bug been filed on this yet?

Ah, that might be the problem - you can't query raster data, only vector data. TIF is raster, just like JPG, PNG, GIF, etc. It looks like that page offers a few different options; make sure you use "Wildfires_1878_2019_Polygon_Data.zip". Polygon means vector. Vector means discrete features that can be queried. You're welcome for the quick response! Welcome to the community.

This sounds like a job for definition queries! I haven't seen your data (you provided a project file, but that doesn't include the data. You might try saving it as a map package, which does include data), but I assume it's all in one layer / feature class. If there are attribute(s) allowing you to separate based on years, you can use the same source for more than one layer, each with a definition query to show the particular years of interest.
