Hi Josh, I haven't looked into it since, so I am not sure if anything has changed. I seem to remember something similar to the behaviour you are describing. We are not using Portal much unfortunately as most clients seem to want something custom. I should look into the 10.7 features and see if they have made any improvements. Morten

I would like to be able to customize the 403 page the user sees when they try to access the service path and the Services Directory has been disabled. I would like to insert our organisation's own 403 page if possible, a link to our organisation, logo, etc. This is what it currently looks like: Thanks, Morten

Is there a way to customize the 403 page the user sees when they try to access a service path? I would like to insert our organisation's own 403 page if possible or link to our org. I have been searching in the Program Files- ArcGIS - Server folders, but I am not really sure where to look for the file. If you have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Morten

Hey Darryl, Unfortunately not. I haven't had a chance to get into it yet, but I would like to try at some point. Right now we are doing most of our development outside of WebApp Builder. Most of the time the requirements are too complex/custom to work in a portal environment.

Hi Mike, I believe it is possible if you allow anonymous authentication, but unfortunately it is not an option for us. I tried clone_items as well and described the process here: Error when cloning items from one portal to another. The end results is the same. I talked to esri support in Canada and they recommended republishing the services on the new portal and disregard the other two solution with our setup. I hope this helps, although it probably wasn't the solution you were hoping for. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers, Morten

Hi All, I would like to combine two standard tools in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. First I want to run a query using both a spatial Filter and Attribute criteria, then take that result and assign a value and/or name to it. The workflow would be something like this: 1. Query - Locations that fulfill certain criteria - Max distance of 15 km - Assignment Status: Unassigned - Type: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or None 2. Batch Attribute Editor - Edit the output of the Query - Assign selection to a user ID and Name - Change assignment status to Assigned Is there a way to combine these two tools or maybe edit the results table? I have just started using ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and the JavaScript API, so I am not sure whether this would already be a tool in someone custom widget toolbox. If someone could give me some clues how this could be done, I would appreciate it. I can send screen shots of the workflow if that helps. Thanks!

Hi James Osundwa, No, unfortunately. Apparently it is possible if you are willing to allow anonymous authentication, but unfortunately that is not an option for us. ESRI recommends republishing everything regardless and they admit clone item and copy content doesn't always work. Our workflow would probably be something like this: On QA Publish services to QA Server automated by python script Create Web Map Create Web Application Test Web Application On Prod Publish services to Prod Server automated by python script Create New Web Map Prod Clone Web Application from QA to Prod Insert new Prod Web Map into cloned Web Application Fix widgets in the Web Application (any widget that is dependent on a specific layer) Test Release It is a little more work, but not too bad. In some ways I think it defeats the purpose of having both a QA and Prod Portal, you way as well share it with a small group on Prod and then release it to everyone after. I don't know if that helps at all. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. Morten

I am trying to copy/clone items from one portal to another. We have a QA portal and a prod portal. Since I hit dead end with the copy content script, I switched to using clone_items from the ArcGIS API for Python. While the scripts appears to clone the items, meaning in most cases an item will appear in the Prod Portal, but unfortunately they don't always work. I am currently working on two 10.5.1 portals, but the problem seems to persist. Failed clones - Type of file and error Feature Layer (hosted), nothing appears when the item is viewed and the table is empty MapImages - refers to the Source portal, not the target portal Vector Tile layer - refers to the Source portal, not the target portal WMS - refers to the Source portal, not the target portal Successful clones - Type of file Web Map with services - Everything is the same as the source Service Definition - available for download Shapefile from ZIP - available for download Vector Tile package - available for download Code used: We would like to be able to easily transfer users content from one to the other. Right now that only seems to be possible if we use services from ArcGIS Server, but not if the users create their own content using in ArcGIS Pro and uses MapImages. Do you guys have the same problem and how did you resolve it? I am not sure whether it is a Portal settings issue, or that maybe clone_items is only intended to work for certain file types? Any help you may be able to provide is greatly appreciated! Morten

I have been using a slightly modified version of this example (Example: Copy content—Portal for ArcGIS (10.5.x) | ArcGIS Enterprise) to try to copy content between two Portals (source is a 10.4.1 and target is a 10.5). The scripts runs and content is created on the target Portal, but it is just a reference to the source Portal, not the actual content. So when you click on the item, the user is asked for source portal credentials. What am I doing wrong? Is there a default setting that creates a reference rather than an actual copy? Thanks for your time!! Morten
