Yes I have read the PDF you posted. I might be missing something obvious because that doesn't answer what the Index option is when running a report.

I would like to know what it means when running reports with the variables Age Dependency Ratios and the Economic Dependency Ratios there are two options to run the report - # and index. The definition in the information box is The Total Economic Dependency Ratio is the sum of the population under 16, the population not employed aged 16 to 64, and the population not employed aged 65 and older divided by the total employed population. This ratio is then multiplied by 100. Assuming this is the number (#) results. What does the Index number mean?

I tried a workaround, giving the table a spatial field of the state name. Now its available to bring into Business Analyst by adding custom data. Although another problem came up, when bringing it in as a feature the date field is missing. Another attempt bringing it in as a table the date field (YYYY m) changed to a date and time and then I couldn't add it as a variable. Any insight to these problems with a date field?

Hello, Question: Is it possible to add an excel sheet (table) to be used in an infographic in Business Analyst? The table does not have a spatial reference. I want to show a chart using my own data. I have been using the build custom template. If its possible, do I need to make the changes after the report has run? I've tried adding the Excel sheet to the project in the Map tab, but it won't load because the menu is asking for a spatial reference. And I have loaded the table into my ArcGIS Online Organization account. Quite stuck.

Has anyone looked deeply into the American Community Survey (ACS) data Margin of Error (MOE) or the Esri Reliability Index in comparison to the population represented. In Community Analyst I ran the Covid Planning Infographic template for a County, I will probably be asked to run it for townships. I was hoping to develop a guideline to say, if your population is under 5,000 the data isn't useful because the error is so great. I know each of the parameters in the template would have an individual MOE or Index number, but I also can't figure out how to find the MOE or index per township or city. Has anyone else had to dig into the ACS and analyzed the error and found an efficient process to figure some rough guidelines to base your analyses?

Hi, As you suggested I used the inspect option, my icon is 120x120, Esri icon is "auto" in the box. Oh well, its not that big of an issue. I just keep running into things I would like to tweak a bit. I'll try the text box option in the future.

Hi, I'm no expert in editing HTML/CSS code, but sometimes I am able to sort through and make minor changes. I was wondering if there is a way to change CATEGORY BOX SIZE (the graphic). I imported an icon, made it 120x120 pixels, but it came in too large compared to the others ones which are from the ESRI gallery. So I changed the png to 100x100 pixels, and its the same size, which is too large. Leading me to wonder if there is someway to change the code so that all the icons line up. I wanted to change the height of the BANNER too and can't figure out a way to do that either. Thanks,

What is an efficient method to have data that will be updated monthly and to have the data available as a feature service and shapefile or file geodatabase for download? I have only 3 datasets that will be updated regularly and 5 data sets that aren't updated often. I would like them all to be available in Open Data for download, too. Any helpful comments where people have found an efficient process for this? Another question while I'm here, if I load a feature service in Open Data is it available for download as a shapefile? Or does that need to be done separately, loading a shapefile?

I have been trying to transition to Arcpro for the last 6 months from ArcMap. Today I decided I will not be transitioning to Arcpro with all my projects. I'll use Arcpro for model building, creating story maps or other work that is only going online. But to make useful cartographic maps, I will go back to ArcMap. Most of my work hours go into making mapping products, page size maps for reports or larger maps for meetings. It's always been frustrating the time it takes to make these map but the point is to manipulating the graphical representation so that people understand the event and see the locations. Arcpro is backwards in this area to make a useful hard copy map. Working with the legends, takes much longer, clicking through properties for this and that. It's also takes longer to add text. Who doesn't like a right click to open a property window? And does there need to be another button click (APPLY) when changing the font size? I'm going back to making layouts in ArcMap, it is still time consuming, but much faster than making layouts in Arcpro.

I created a suitability model in Arcpro using the Weighted Overlay Tool for the end product. It worked fine giving the expected results. My resulting values are 1-15. Are these values simply derived from the percent weight multiplied by the raster value and rounded up or down? My other question, what is the standard practice to imputing a layer with a restraint? The feature is a flood plain where as I added it to the weighted overlay tool as a restraint, then I had to give it a percent weight. It's a flood plain feature that is to be considered completely unsuitable. Giving it a percent weight doesn't make sense to me. Jill

Too bad I can't delete my question, but it is possible to navigate directly in the layout and change the scale. I'm not sure how I made it work finally. I hope I can stumble on the method next time.

Is there a way to navigate the extent in the layout view of ArcPro (as in ArcMap) ? I know you can use a bookmark, or go back to the map view and move the extent. I'm asking if there is a way to directly change the extent in the layout? Or in the layout, change the scale (as in ArcMap)? Both types of tools, made it easy to get the exact extent of the layout in ArcMap.

Yes I'm familiar with working in text and annotation. I apply the label, 99% of the time the labels need editing, so then I "convert labels to annotation" and "store in the map". The other option "store in a database" was too cumbersome, very slow and much harder to apply edits. I've also tried using ESRI basemaps, but the labels are very rarely legible in the printed products. I map different areas, different scales and mainly printed products. And everyone wants to be able to read the road labels. Often when asked to make a new map, I have a old MXD, which has some of the needed layers and labels and I go from there. Or sometimes I can do a copy and paste between MXDs. I tried this with ArcPro, copy/paste from MXD, didn't work. So this transition will be cumbersome, more time for every project, remaking old projects. Thanks for the suggestions, I was just hoping someone had a work around.
