Issue Importing XML Schema in ModelBuilder

Question

I'm running ArcDesktop 10 with an ArcInfo License.

I am trying to automate several processes that I do on a nightly basis. One of which being the creation of a geodatabase from XML data exports. I can create them without issue using ArcCatalog, but when I try to do the same thing in ModelBuilder the 'Import Schema and symbology from:' is greyed out. I am probably missing a step in here somewhere.

Creating Via ArcCatalog:[ATTACH=CONFIG]18458[/ATTACH]

Creating Via ModelBuilder: [ATTACH=CONFIG]18459[/ATTACH]

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm guessing this is because you need to add a step in ModelBuilder to connect to the geodatabase first before you will able to export the XML.

Could this be because I do not have the Data Interoperability Extension? Seems like if I can complete this process manually in ArcCatalog I should be able to do it in ModelBuilder.
