How to add side scrolling element

Hello! We are trying to figure out how to add the box with sort of a mini side scrolling that appears near the top in this StoryMap under "Our Strategic Pillars": https://impact.nwf.org/2024/. See screenshot attached with a small light green box that users can scroll to three different stories and click to open new pages. The larger grey box has images that bounce out a little when the scrolling lands on that theme. How is all of thie created and added to a StoryMap? Appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

@BlueGAPUSF -- Thanks for posting your question. That page is not a StoryMap. It looks to me like a custom page, but it could have been built with a technology I'm not familiar with.

Within StoryMaps there isn't a horizontally scrolling element like that, but it's a neat idea. If you would like to see something like this added to StoryMaps in the future, I would invite you to post on our ideas board.

@BlueGAPUSF - There is no timeline nor even an assurance every idea will be included in the product. The Esri Community ideas boards are meant to collect requests and gauge their popularity to inform each team's planning process. Even popular ideas with much support may not be implemented due to technical constraints, level of effort vs. value, or other reasons. You can review the ArcGIS Ideas Submission Guidelines and Statuses for more info.

I should also mention it's possible to build custom elements inside ArcGIS StoryMaps using the new advanced embedding capability, which you can learn more about here: Introducing Story Embeds via Script! and storymaps-developer-samples/embed/README.md at main · Esri/storymaps-developer-samples

If you have a timeline for your project, I would recommend that you look to use existing capabilities in ArcGIS StoryMaps. If ArcGIS StoryMaps does not meet your needs, you can also try another product (like ArcGIS Hub or ArcGIS Experience Builder) or plan to produce a custom web site.

Oh wow - for some reason I had it mixed in my list of StoryMap examples. How long does it take for an idea to be selected and added? I am sure it takes time so just need to figure out if I need to adjust my StoryMap timeline/plans. Thanks!
