Updating Fields in hosted view from hosted feature on Portal

I have a portal hosted layer that has multiple different views.  There was a need to add additional fields to the layer.  I added the 2 fields to the hosted layer but the views from that layer did not get updated.  Looking through esri support there is a fix for ArcGIS Online but I could not find anything for Portal.  Do you all know of anyway to update my current views without creating new view layers?

I found the solution! Scenario 1: We've added new fields to the parent Feature Layer but cannot see them in the View Layer's attribute table

This solution worked for me in Portal 10.9.1. Hope it works for you too!
