I just finished the 2024.1 to 2025.0 Monitor upgrade. Now, any of my map image services that use the Shared Instance (Dynamic Mapping Host) show as 100% saturated. Map Image Services as dedicated types do not.

Hi @GavinCollins1,From Esri Tech Support case 03926364, we identified BUG-000157186 for ArcGIS Monitor. There is a workaround and two feature enhancements were created for ArcGIS Monitor.
Please open a case with Esri Tech Support so we have more information and also prioritize the feature enhancement request.Hope this helps,

In my previous post, I said there was a workaround for your reported issue and two feature enhancements have been logged to help address it. These have been added to the Dev backlog.I did NOT say the issue was fixed in the Monitor 2025.1 release, so it is not listed in the release notes.Hope this helps,

I just upgraded Enterprise from 11.5 to 12.0. The workaround I had in place is still in place - that is my instances in the Shared Instance pooling for show 0,0 for min,max in Server Manager, but on the backend in Server Admin these same instances show as 0,1.
That is the change I made to these services in admin.

@DavidColey @DerekLaw was this issue qualifed as a bug? I am also experiencing the same issue in an ArcGIS Monitor 2025.0 deployment.
Ok, I did a screen share with support on this on 06/17, demonstrated the issue by showing the workaround and now we'll see.

Yeah once a shared service restarts it will revert back to it's 0.0 setting for min and max InstancePerNode counts and then the Instance Saturation again graphs that service saturation value as 100%

do work. I went into ServerAdmin and just changed the max maxInstancesPerNode value to 1 and left the minInstancesPerNode at 0 and am now getting small percentage sat values (like 0.45, 0.56, etc) for these services in the shared instance:

Instance Limits0 min - 16 max
One of us should still probably report it to support so they can be aware and get a fix, since I still don't know if the Instances node counts are going to revert back to 0,0 when the server restarts or when the ArcGIS Sever exe service restarts....
This issue is similar to one that has happened in the past:Solved: Metrics and Alerts on Shared Instances - Esri CommunityArcGIS Monitor does not like shared instance services that has values for service properties "minInstancesPerNode" and "maxInstancesPerNode" set to 0 even though it should be returning the "number of shared instances per machine" value set in server manager.I resolved this (for the specific map service having this issue) by setting the minInstancesPerNode value to 1 and maxInstancesPerNode to 2. After doing so, ArcGIS Monitor then correctly shows the value set for the shared instance pool and the metrics for instance saturation are then correct.

I'm having the same issue after completing the upgrade to 2025.0. My map services with Shared Instance are showing 100% saturation when being used.
