Would be nice if Experience Builder would have a calendar widget (a classic display of month and dates) that you can connect with your data that has date-time information. This would be extremely useful for example to show events from a certain day. Right now you can only use a list to display events but to connect it to a simple calendar view would be really nice.
We also are missing a feature to get an overview of our Field Maps tasks in form of a calendar.
@JuhaHaanpera your question is an interesting one. At a prior job i had to work on an integration between Exchange Calendars and a calendar in a Content Management System. All of that I had to write in C#, and it had to run a process periodically throughout the day to look for and integrate not yet known events (and remove them if cancelled). It was quite a bit of work for on premise Exchange.Now, you have Teams, and Office with Outlook in a cloud, and I find myself wondering how one would get that information, and there are two thoughts.Either 1, you have some resident process that looks at a calendar and publishes events to a calendar (maybe with some geocoding going on to put them on a map), or, you need something that can create a feed that a widget can read and then format as appropriate for needs.Needless to say it could get rather complex. I shall have to ponder that one a bit more.
@TiiuKelviste Thanks for the details. So basically, in your case, the data is still temporal (has time extent enabled), and you want a simple configuration to display a calendar based on certain date/time fields, right?
In our case, we would like to use the calendar to display upcoming events, actions, and deadlines. These are stored in a date/time field within the geodatabase. While there are other options for visualizing temporal data, we are specifically looking for a simple connection between the date/time field and the calendar view.
@TiiuKelviste @BrittanyBurson @RyanBohan and others, I want to ask a follow-up question about this need:
Are your cases focusing on filtering (say event) by date fields (using SQL) vs. time filtering (temporal data, filtering using time extent)? It can go either way, but the latter seems more prevalent. It would be nice to know more details on this for your scenarios.

Does anyone have experience or insight into whether it’s possible to integrate ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise with Microsoft calendar apps e.g. Outlook or Teams for field work management and execution? Specifically, something where tasks from the GIS system automatically appear on the user’s calendar in Teams/Outlook, or calendar events trigger workflows in ArcGIS and Field Maps.
Any examples, lessons learned or recommended approaches would be greatly appreciated.

We’re currently designing a calendar view and task management workflow for a water utility customer here in Finland, using Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online platforms. Both environments are available, so we can develop the solution either as a hosted Experience Builder application or as a custom-built app if needed.
Our goal is to implement a calendar widget or equivalent functionality that allows users to:
View work orders, inspections, and maintenance tasks in a calendar layout daily, weekly, monthly.
Filter tasks by type e.g., maintenance, repairs, inspections.
View task status: planned / in progress / completed.
Click a calendar item to open detailed information and attachments, photos, condition forms, documents.
Integrate the view with ArcGIS Field Maps so that tasks created in the field automatically appear in the calendar.
Optionally, synchronize or visualize the same data in ArcGIS Dashboards for management monitoring.
We’re looking for examples or best practices from others who have implemented similar calendar functionality either:
Using Experience Builder with out-of-the-box widgets or custom widgets, or
Developing a custom JavaScript or React app that integrates via the ArcGIS REST API.
Have you seen or built something like this for task management or maintenance scheduling in Experience Builder?Any recommendations or code examples would be greatly appreciated.

How to Activate Calendar Filter in Experience Builder – Hidden but Powerful
After some R&D and hands-on exploration, I discovered how the calendar filter works in ArcGIS Experience Builder — and it’s a bit hidden, which explains why there’s limited documentation or discussion around it.
Here’s what I found:Experience Builder handles date filtering similarly to a calendar filter — but it becomes available only after adding specific conditions.
Steps to Activate the Calendar Filter:
Add a Filter widget or configure a filter in your data widget.
Ensure your dataset includes at least one date field (for example, I used Created Date and Updated Date).
In your filter settings, choose the condition: "is between".
Enable "User input" for that condition.
You will now see five options appear:Empty, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, and Custom.
Select Custom, and the calendar picker becomes available for dynamic filtering.
From what I understand, this feature was likely already part of the builder but not clearly documented — as many users, like me, have been actively searching for it.
Hope this helps others uncover this powerful filtering feature.

Would be a really handy feature to have. Building an experience for our Biosecurity team to manage their spatial data, and they would love to visualise some of their scheduled site visits (that they set within the dataset) to a calendar based view (like the OP picture) within the app.

I believe it would be greatly appreciated to have a calendar that highlights dates with any actions or reports. This would allow users to check what happened on each date or filter for dates with reports only.

The Calcite Design system does have a 'date picker' that can display a calendarhttps://developers.arcgis.com/calcite-design-system/components/date-picker/I've not seen the widget that @cat206 is referencing, if if someone didn't show me that it was a new widget coming out for use, I'd have presumed its actually a custom widget that has form fields for date and time for start and stop, uses a calendar picker at the bottom, and reset and today button.(Note it is possible you might find a similar design element used elsewhere that's free to use or open source somewhere that does similar things, date pickers have definitely been around for a while in Web UIs for as long as I can remember.)(also beyond which section is on top, it may be that the sections for the map and table and the section for the chart are not quite matching border to border/side to side, and that might be an issue with the layout used)
I noticed the calendar widget in the recent ESRI UK Conference (Powering up your field mapping with Arcade) , and wanted to try and find out which one it is - does anyone have any idea please?
Another Googler here. My hopes were so high but were dashed when I realized it was only an idea. This would be so helpful for my facilities maintenance people to see their work orders not just spatially, but calendar-y. Spatial/Temporal match made in heaven?
I was also googling about this and would love to see it happen!! Maybe a calendar widget where it either focuses on current or manually set to a specific date range such as a past month or future, like for an upcoming project or event. And maybe have the option to link data to it as other people mentioned, or just leave it without linked data to simply show the date for context.

I'd like to use Survey123 for a team of training facilitators to record sessions (planned & delivered) and then show them on a dashboard with map and status for quarterly monitoring.
Nothing stopping me so far, but ideally we'd have a calendar widget so planned and delivered sessions could be seen in chart, map and calendar view.

Amazing idea! There are so many applications this can be used for: Event tracking, monitoring, tasks completed or due by, etc!
I would love to use this type of functionality on SEVERAL of my EB applications.
This would be very useful to display date oriented data. It would be very beneficial to be able to display the scheduling of our data replication and display history of events from field data collection. Please include day, week and month view.
