Please include the "Add Data" Widget that is available in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder to ArcGIS Experience Builder.
If it's not in 11.1 then we may need to wait to upgrade our Enterprise portal 😕
This is now available in AGOL, but not Enterprise. It looks like it won't be in Enterprise until 11.2
This was added in the February 2023 update.
Hi, apparently the Add Data widget is already available but so far I can't find it in my ExB. When will the Add Data widget be available for the Enterprise version and not only for the online subscription?

They have the market cornered, therefore have no need to respect their customer base. Hence a situation such as this, where they can push an unfinished product out, then, with a straight face, claim that 'a product is developed through incremental releases'. No, that is utter **bleep**, a product should be developed until it is finished, then released.
I would like Esri to own this and be honest about the fact they have released an unfinished product and are taking a very half-arsed approach to finishing it. But they won't, they'll just continue to get poor Jianxia to make pathetic excuses.
@Jianxia if Esri expects developers to migrate from WAB to EB, given that EV is based on TypeScript (JS 4.x), then it is absolutely imperative that ALL of the function & feature of WAB (at least that expected to be ported over) be ported to EB. This is standard, commercial software upgrade practice which, unfortunately, Esri does not appear to be following, as is the case with the AGOL Mapviewer (MapViewer Classic -> MapViewer). I respectfully ask that Esri please keep in mind the needs of their customer base. Thank you.
In general, a product is developed through incremental releases. See the functional parity of Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder for migration status.
Currently, the Add Data widget is planned for the upcoming online release in February 2023. Thank you for your help.

Please add this sooner rather than later, we really need use of this in Experience Builder and I can see many others do to.
If EB is eventually replacing WAB then why does it not contain all the functionality/capability of WAB? It doesn't make sense to me to release a new app that will replace an existing app and not have all the functionality/capability of the existing app from the offset.
@RichardJennings if we wait until 2024, then ESRI is likely to push out another webapp product which is supposed to supersede EB, but is even more half-baked. Nope, I do not jest
It's all right guys, it's scheduled for Q2 next year! A huge multinational corporation throwing out unfinished products is perfectly understandable!! If anything, I actually hope we have to wait until 2024, then I'll be even more excited to finally use Experience Builder!!!

Ditto of @MatthewStephenson2 's comment. Esri's management of new releases and the features provided is very poor, something I have not encountered with other software vendors. Esri absolutely must improve in this area, as it is very shoddy and unacceptable, even for a prominent company like Esri.

Developing my first Experience and disappointed to find out the Add Data Widget is missing. As others have mentioned I find it extremely frustrating ESRI releases product replacements with LESS functionality than product it is replacing. This happened with ArcPro compared to ArcMap, Map Viewer compared to Map Viewer Classic and now EB compared to WAB. Glad to know that the Add Data Widget is coming in 6 months but ESRI really needs to do better.

I am commenting to put another vote in. The ability for a user to add data into the app is the main reason we are holding back from using the Web Experience Builder.

@Gabrielle I concur and "feel your pain." It is a complaint I have had with Esri's Experience Builder team and why they have not made a visible effort to address this issue and communicate properly with the Experience Builder user community. The communication is poor and the lack of features in EB which are already present in Web AppBuilder is, well, inexcusable, IMHO.
Yes, I do hope Esri [upper] management sees this, as this is a serious issue.
I am starting to experiment more with Experience builder and I am very upset that a lot of the functionality I have in my existing application developed using Web App Builder is either not available or has been altered Experience Builder. To me all the functionality found in Web App Builder should be available in Experience Builder, especially since it is my understanding Esri want users to start transitioning over to Experience Builder. Many of my application can't because of the missing widgets found in Web App Builder. The one I would really like to see is "Add Data". I would also live the freedom to move map buttons (zoom/home/basemap) to other location on the map. Perhaps this is already allowed and I just don't know.

We are also interested in an add data widget. What we would primarily like to do is to be able to add data of different formats and especially 3d data/models. We would then like to be able to move the model to the right place. We would also like to scale and rotate the model. Is this a functionality you are thinking of incorporating in the near feature in experience builder with the add data widget release? Would this probably be incorporated in another widget?
Any update on this ESRI?
Experience Builder has everything I need to develop a map application except the Add Data widget, which is critical for my project. I would like to use the map for users to explore the data available within my Hub site, which currently isn't available in Web AppBuilder.
@RichardJennings I wish the Experience Builder team had done the right thing and included all the widgets and other features of Web AppBuilder with EB >>before<< releasing EB. If Esri wants developers to migrate to EB from WAB, then they >>should<< make all the important tools/features available in one version with the newer version. They failed in this matter, IMHO, and is unlike what I have seen with other major software firms.
My biting criticism also holds for the current MapViewer for ArcGIS Online, which replaced the MapViewer Classic. For a company that is supposed to be THE premier of GIS software, they are failing in these matters. I expect Esri will ignore my comment and those from others, above. Very disheartening.

For my organization, it would allow non-GIS users to help screen .dwg data submitted by applicants/contractors in a web format instead of needing to install and license ArcGIS Pro on their machines.
I agree with @macands_admin. If Esri intends for the community to migrate to Experience Builder from Web AppBuilder, they need to make ALL of the widgets which are available in WAB to EB. This is incredibly, incredibly frustrating
