Edit Road curves on roads with centerline for each side of median

Question

Hello,

What is the best way to edit roads when they come in (import from shapefile) as the spaghetti junction pictured below?

As you can see from the imagery, each of the curved sections should be straight.

I think the streets are being made curvy because the graph cleanup is trying to clean up two streets that are really close to each other/next to each other.  Maybe you could try to uncheck "Run Graph Cleanup Tool after Import" in the import dialog box.
