We have a SQL Express 2012 sde on our server to which we can connect in Arcmap 10.6.1 but not Pro 2.4. The data store has been validated and also unregistered and re-registered. Can anyone provide information on this? Thanks, cob

SQL Server is only supported back to 2014 SP3 for Pro 2.4. Take a look at Microsoft SQL Server database requirements for ArcGIS 10.7.x and ArcGIS Pro 2.4—Help | ArcGIS Desktop. If you are using Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server, you can try an older version such as 13 or 11 but no guaranties.
