Error executing tool. Get Layout Templates Info : End tag 'ft' does not match the start tag 'Null'

We have a custom print service that has been throwing an error in the logs; "Error executing tool. Get Layout Templates Info : End tag 'ft' does not match the start tag 'Null'."

Does anyone know what that means or how to troubleshoot it?
