We record discovery metadata of our datasets in a third-party software, however, we are concerned that we do not currently have an effective way of recording data schema metadata. This would clearly define what each attribute in a dataset is, and for instance how the values were calculated and their intended purpose.
In practice how do other users manage their schema metadata?
Is there a specific ESRI tool to support this?
What is best practice - are there standards for capturing schemas?
