Allow setting content view to table by default in the ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Organization settings
This suggestion would make it easier for users to sort through content without having to set it each time they login to Portal.

I'd even expand it to say allow administrators to control sorting - by date or alphabetical. Some folks need the most simply way to arrive at their content, and get frustrated when things reset to some sort of useless default.
Content in galleries is floated to top by recently updated, as well as content listing in groups themselves. Why not treat a group like the "item" of content when it's being viewed in a higher level container? I want to use this and set "GROUPS" as the initial login page for some of these users.
